The Iris Griffith Centre houses a panorama of interpretive displays and exhibits related to local natural history and human interaction with the natural world.  Come visit the Centre to enjoy a diversity of displays including:

Green Technologies for Sustainable Living - Learn how to minimize the impacts of development through the use of innovative design and alternative technologies

Aquarium Gallery - Discover some of the amazing fish, bugs and amphibians that live in the freshwater ecosystems of the Sunshine Coast.

Wetlands - Learn about the biological diversity and vital ecological services provided by wetland ecosystems.

Sakinaw Watershed - Discover the local region around the Iris Griffith Centre with this spectacular 3-D watershed model.

Wildlife Tree - Discover the many creatures that live in dead trees

Patterns in Nature - The natural world is filled with spectacular beauty and complexity at a variety of scales. This fun hands-on display encourages visitors to sort photo elements based on their patterns.

Caren Range - Learn about this spectacular mountain ecosystem, home to 'the oldest forest in Canada'.  The exhibit features an 1834 year old yellow cedar stump.

Children's Discovery Space - Kids can discover and learn about wildlife, nature and environmental stewardship in the Kid's Area which features puzzles, books, art and craft activties, puppets and dress up clothes.

Sakinaw Sockeye - Learn about this threatened genetically and biologically unique population of sockeye that spawns in Sakinaw Lake, near the Iris Griffith Centre.

Library Corner – Our library corner includes a comfortable seating area, along with a diverse collection of books about the flora, fauna, and natural history of the Sunshine Coast.
