Interpretive Programs

Many exciting community interpretive programs are available at the Iris Griffith Centre. They include:

Children's Programs: Children meet at the Iris Griffith Centre for special programs to explore and learn about wetland plants and animals.

Tours and Nature Walks: Expert local naturalists and guides lead nature walks and tours starting from the Iris Griffith Centre, to explore the stunning surrounging region, including the Caren Range, John Daly Park, and the Sakinaw Lake District.

Public Lectures, Slide Shows and Forums: Professional biologists, photographers and artists give presentations related to the flora, fauna and ecosystems of the Sunshine Coast and the environmental issues affecting the region.

Workshops: Community members gather at the Iris Griffith Centre for hands on learning on such topics as how to build bird and bat houses, and how to identify animal tracks and signs.
