Gala Legacy Launch

On September 25th, 2004, the Lagoon Society hosted Puttin’ on the Ritz@Ruby, a gala fundraising dinner, featuring a gourmet menu prepared by celebrity chef Bruno Marti and a group of 6 Team Canada chefs. The evening included music and entertainment along with a silent auction with items donated by local artists and was attended by 200 guests.

At the Ritz@Ruby event, the Centre’s Legacy Program was officially launched. The Legacy Program gives sponsors and donors of the Field Studies Centre the opportunity to have their names, signatures, portraits, logos, dedications or personal histories permanently laser-etched into the black granite tiles of the Centre's Legacy Wall. The Wall will be located at the entrance to the Interpretive Centre building and will provide lasting and highly visible recognition of their support.
