Maureen Maureen Parrott - Born 3 Oct. 1966, oldest daughter of Billy and Iris Griffith, Maureen loves words and learning, but is most enthralled by marine life and all kinds of natural history. Maureen fished commercially for salmon with her family on her Dad's 56' seine boat and married Brian Parrott from Newfoundland. Brian sadly passed away in 1999 when their son Michael was only one year old. Maureen is engaged to her fiancé, Paul Juffs, and with young Michael they spent a year travelling aboard Canada's first semi-submersible boat (a vessel with underwater windows - built by Paul and used to show shipwrecks in Lake Huron) through The Great Lakes, Erie Canal, Hudson River, and Intra-Coastal Waterway, and returned overland by way of Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. The semi-submersible will be used to show off the underwater world of Egmont.
