Donate to the Lagoon Society

The Ruby Lake Lagoon Society is a registered Canadian charity. Donations are tax deductible and charitable tax receipts will be issued on all donations of $10 and up. Our charitable registration number is 85237 7530 RR0001.

To make a donation to the Lagoon Society today:

  • Email us at info@lagoonsociety.com and a staff member will contact you
  • Donate online through CanadaHelps
  • Print out the appropriate Donation Form and mail or fax it to us at the address below


    Please choose one of the donation options below:

  • Regular Donation - Contribute a simple gift to help the Lagoon Society today.
  • Monthly Giving Program - Become a sustaining supporter of the Lagoon Society by giving regular monthly donations through pre-authorized credit card or bank account withdrawls.
  • Gift in Honour - Celebrate the birthday, anniversary, marriage or graduation of a friend or family member with a Gift in Honour. Your donation will lend special meaning to the occasion and the person you are honouring will appreciate your thoughtfulness. The Lagoon Society will send a card on your behalf to acknowledge your gift.
  • Gift in Memory - Honour the memory of a friend, colleague or loved one who has passed on with a Gift in Memory. The Lagoon Society will send a card to the bereaved family to acknowledge your memorial gift.

    By making a donation, you help the Lagoon Society to:

  • Provide interpretive facilities to educate about local natural history and broad conservation issues
  • Provide facilities and courses for wildlife and conservation education for school-aged students
  • Provide facilities and courses for adult professionals and hobbyists training in ecology and related fields
  • Provide a field base, equipment and laboratory facilities for scientific research and ecological monitoring
  • Build a sustainable green building to promote leadership in energy conservation and environmental design
  • Build the first observatory on the Sunshine Coast, allowing astronomical exploration in a light-free environment
  • Provide a facility that the whole community can enjoy and use for exploration, courses, events, and research
  • Restore 10 acres of wetlands to provide important habitat for breeding waterfowl, and other wildlife species
  • Bring long-term sustainable economic benefit to the Coast through eco-tourism and environmental education
